HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CLEAN YOUR POOL?
It is the responsibility of the pool owner to ensure that it is always clean. Having said that, always strive to take care of issues as they arise or as you notice them, which includes repairing anything that’s malfunctioning or cleaning anything that looks dirty. Also, remember to clean the skimmers, tiles, and pumps and to vacuum the pool.
If it’s possible, you should clean the skimmers every day. And if there are no trees, or just a few trees, near your pool, then you can just use the skimmers to clean the pool only a few times a week, failure to which you will begin to notice frequent backwash in your pool. In addition, the skimmers, as well as the pipes leading to the pool’s pump, can easily be clogged with hair, leaves and other substances, which stops your filtration system from working properly.
Consider vacuuming your pool on a weekly basis. And while there are those who recommend cleaning twice a week, you cannot forget the fact that it could lead to a lot of work, especially if the pool is located near lakes or under tree shades. In this case, the pool will need to be cleaned regularly. By vacuuming, you get rid of any foliage or debris that compromises the pH balance in your pool.
If you have tiles in your pool, a weekly cleaning regimen is exactly what your pool needs. But the truth is, this is not an easy job, which is why no one would blame you if you chose to clean them every few weeks.
